The Avocado Latte Is The Latest Wished Drink By Millennials On The Internet By Staff Writer | May 23, 2017 08:25 AM EDT There is a new obsession of the millennials that involves the combination of the nutritious avocados and expensive coffee drinks. They are called "avocado lattes" and it has been viral for quite some time now. In an article published by CNBC, the internet-famous avocado latte is offered at a cafe called Truman Cafe in Melbourne, Australia. The product is complete with designs that were etched into the foam in hollowed avocado skins. The Truman Cafe, which is found in the suburban Albert Park, does not have the avocado latte in their menu. However, they serve an avocado side and some of the breakfast that is paired with the fruit like Truman Brekkie, which consists of scrambled eggs, hash brown, sourdough toast, beetroot relish, roasted seeds, and avocado. The avocado latte, or "Avolatte" as what most people call it, is considered as a breakthrough beverage. However, some people think that this drink is just part of the millennial obsessions that would be tiresomely trendy. Truman Cafe barista Jaydin Nathan said that he was lighthearted on the avocado latte's earned fame. He said that it was first served when a request from a customer indicated to have his latte served in an avocado skin. "It's literally coffee in a piece of rubbish," he said. However, he defended the avocado latte for its creativity. "Maybe some people thought it was meant to be a joke," he said. In an article published in USA Today, he said that food is not just meant for eating but also for fun and art. The avocado latte is just one of the latest addition of attention-grabbing drinks prepared by companies and restaurants to attract the millennials who have high consumer power. It is remembered that Starbucks saw a sale surge when they introduced the Unicorn Frappuccino in their menu.
