AMD’s Ryzen Threadripper 1950X 16-Core Processor Benchmarrk Result Leakeds, CPU-Equipped Alienware Area-51 Desktop Rolls Out In July 27 By N. Gutierrez firstname.lastname@example.org | Jun 16, 2017 02:48 PM EDT Several upcoming powerful chips offering powerful high cores were announced by AMD last Computex 2017. As little information was known about the CPUs, rumors point out that the CPU accidentally leaked on benchmarking site Geekbench is powerful 16 core-powered CPU, the Ryzen Threadripper 1950X. According to Eteknix, the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X was revealed to be one of the lineups that were unveiled by AMD Computex 2017. The image from the previous noted that the CPU will be “Targeting the world fastest ultra-premium desktop systems an all new HEDT platform.” The CPU recognized due to its clocking base or boost speed of 3.4 GHz powered by 16 cores and 32 threads. The AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X was also to sport 32MB of L3 cache alongside 64 PCIe lanes and quad channel DDR4. Aside from the Threadripper 1950X, another powerful CPU is also expected to be this summer, which is said to be the 12 core Threadripper 1920. With that said, the benchmark result of the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X shown from the Geekbench site was noted to be 4167 on its single core test. On another hand, it scored 24539 in its multi-core test. Alienware had confirmed last E3 Expo that they will be the first to feature a gaming desktop that is equipped with the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X, ZDNet reported. Moreover, Alienware also revealed that they will be shipping the Threadripper equipped Area 51 desktops with a built-in liquid cooling system. However, it is not expected that the company would do the same for their Intel Core i9 donned desktops but instead would have Alienware’s new Optane-powered SSDs. Nonetheless, Alienware’s Area-51 Threadripper edition was identified to be released next month, on July 27. Yet, the Area 51 gaming desktop that sports Intel’s upcoming Core i9 Skylake-X processors was mentioned to be made available to the public at a later date on August 22 amid their previously announced launch date of September in U.K.
