₹500 Jio 4G VoLTE Phone is expected to make an appearance at Reliance Industries' AGM next week. The newly leaked video about the cheapest 4G smartphone reveals what might well be the mobile many have been waiting for.

The leaked video reveals a Reliance Retail's Lyf-branded feature phone that may be the long-rumoured ₹500 Jio 4G VoLTE Phone that has been spotted before. The video and a joint report reveal specifications, features, and software details of the upcoming Lyf/ Jio 4G VoLTE feature phone. The said report suggests that the ₹500 Jio 4G VoLTE Phone could be announced at the 4G-feature phone at its annual general meeting on July 21, 2017.

According to a report by TechPP, the Reliance Jio 4G feature ₹500 Phone will be sold under the Lyf brand, which is the sister-brand of Jio, owned by Reliance Retail. ₹500 Jio 4G VoLTE Phone is rumored to have a 2.4-inch color display, 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 128GB microSD card support.

The ₹500 Jio 4G VoLTE Phone will have hybrid dual SIM cards slot, 2-megapixel rear camera, and front facing VGA camera. The leaked report also suggests the presence of 2000mAh battery, FM radio, Bluetooth 4.1 + LE, and video calling feature on the ₹500 Jio 4G VoLTE Phone.

In addition, a report by Telecom Talk claims the ₹500 Jio 4G VoLTE Phone will be provision for Wi-Fi tethering too, meaning a user will be able to connect multiple devices using the handset's Internet connection. However, the report also says that the handset will have app-specific USB tethering.

According to an earlier research note, the ₹500 Jio 4G VoLTE Phone will have a price tag in India of Rs. 500, after subsidizing the manufacturing cost. The leaked images also show a dedicated app store called Kai OS Plus, which could allow users to download popular apps like Facebook and WhatsApp.
