Xiaomi 5X Leaked Poster Reveals 6GB RAM, Snapdragon 625 SoC, & More
Xiaomi is rumored to unveil its new sub-brand category under the name 'Lanmi', and according to the latest leak, the first smartphone it will launch can be named as Xiaomi 5X. A bunch of new leaks revealed the specification and features of the latest upcoming smartphone that surfaced in a new teaser poster recently. The Xiaomi 5X might come in two variants: standard and premium.
The premium version of the Xiaomi 5X might carry powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, plus 6GB of RAM and a native storage capacity of 64GB is. The device could have a price tag of 1,999 Yuan, which is almost $295.
The high-end version of the Xiaomi 5X might carry a 12-megapixel dual camera system that will boast the Sony IMX386 sensor besides a Samsung S5k3m3 sensor. A 16-megapixel front facing camera wills also selfies and video calling features. Although it cannot be confirmed as of now, on 5X to come with Android 7.1.1 Nougat overlaid with Xiaomi's proprietary MIUI 9 OS or not, as reported by GSM Arena.
On the other hand, the standard Xiaomi 5X edition will have the same rear and front snapper and might come with a front-mounted fingerprint reader. According to a report by GizmoChina, the standard Xiaomi Mi5X will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset, 4GB of RAM, as well as 5.5-inch display which might have full HD display capacity.
Chinese celebrity Kris Wu has been seen on the leaked Xiaomi5X poster. Wu is continuing his association with the Chinese smartphone giant. However, it is not yet confirmed for the release date but some reports state that the device might be launched on July 26. The leaked poster also reveals CNY 1,999. More concrete details about the phone will be known at the time of launch.
