After the launch of the budget Nokia 6, 5 and 3 Android smartphones, HMD Global is reportedly gearing up to launch a premium smartphone called Nokia 8. According to the latest report, the Finnish company will launch its flagship smartphone powered by Snapdragon 835 on July 31.

According to a report by Venture Beat, in which leaker Evan Blass has revealed an image, which is touted to be the upcoming flagship-class Nokia 8. In the leaked image, the phone looks perfectly poised to take on the best flagships in the world. The publication also notes that the Nokia 8 takes most of its design cues from the Nokia 6, 5 and 3.

According to the leaked image, the design of the phone is classic Nokia - minimalist and simple. The display of the Nokia 8 looks to taper around the edges giving a bezel-less look, but the smartphone boasts distinct top and bottom bezels with navigation keys neighboring the home button on both sides. The fingerprint scanner is said to be embedded in the home button only.

The Nokia moniker is visible in the top right corner of the device. The shine on the renders also indicates it will be using the same aluminum unibody chassis like the mid-range Nokia 6, as reported by Gizmodo.

However, recent reports suggested that HMD Global will be launching the Nokia 8 smartphone on July 31. The Nokia 8 will be expensive and is expected to cost above INR 40,000 in India. The device is said to have 4GB of RAM along with 6GB of internal storage. However, reports also claim that there could be 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM variants too for the higher price. The Nokia 8 is expected to come in Steel, Gold/Copper, Blue and Gold/Blue colors.

The upcoming Nokia 8 will offer a 5.3-inch QHD bezel-less display and could have Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. It will be an IP68 water resistant smartphone with a 13MP dual-lens rear camera along with a 13MP front camera. The device is expected to have a price tag of €600.
