Samsung Galaxy S9 To Boast Infinity Display Similar To Galaxy S8
Samsung's Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus are newly launched flagships in the market and the rumors about its successor are already surfacing on the net. Samsung Galaxy S9 will reportedly sport the same shape screen as the Galaxy S8.
According to the information from "unnamed industry sources," who claims that the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ will boast the same displays and screen sizes as the Galaxy S8 generation. Samsung Electronics has reported to already given Samsung Display the specs - 5.77" for the S9, 6.22" for the S9+, as noted by GSM Arena.
According to the report by Android Authority, the Samsung Galaxy S9 will cruome with a 5.77-inch screen whereas its bigger variant of the upcoming flagship will sport a larger 6.22-inch display. The report also adds that they will have rounded corners, making them identical to this year's Infinity Displays found on the current Galaxy S8 duo. As expected, the South Korean conglomerate reportedly will re-attempt to embed the fingerprint scanner under the display, which is a feature that was missing from the current Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus flagships due to technical difficulties.
However, it's a little too early to speculate about both the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus, though a Snapdragon 845 processor and at least 6GB of RAM are tipped. The duo is also said to flaunt a dual-camera setup. The devices should also ship running Android O.
If a recent hands-on image of Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus is anything to go by, the company should have the optical scanner ready in time as the only technical hurdle it needs to overcome is matching the brightness of the area containing the sensor to the rest of the screen. The Galaxy S9 is expected to debut in the second half of 2018.
