OnePlus 5 Is Now Preventing Users From Dialing A Call To The Emergency Services
The OnePlus 5 is one of the most discussed smartphones of the present time. Owners of this device have recently detected a serious bug while dialing to the emergency services.
Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus has recently launched its new flagship handset, OnePlus 5, with some impressive features. With latest Snapdragon 835 chipset, 8GB of RAM, and sufficient storage the flagship device caught the attention of many tech users. But, after its release, the device is constantly experiencing troubles related to both the software and the hardware.
Recently, another new bug has emerged that ultimately increases the list of problems. The OnePlus 5 handset users have revealed that the phone prevents them from dialing a call to the emergency services, like 911. No doubt this is very troublesome for those who use this handset to complete their day to day work.
According to The Next Web, some owners of the OnePlus 5 have flocked to Reddit to report this problem. They have discovered that whenever they try to dial 911, the handset reboots. That means this new flagship device fails to become immediately responsive when it should be.
Reports claiming that so far only three users of this handset have reportedly experienced this problem. In fact, one Reddit user has already uploaded a footage that shows how he is facing problem while dialing 911. The footage depicts how his new OnePlus 5 suddenly shut down when he tried 911.
So it is quite clear that the majority users of the OnePlus 5 have not so far detected this problem. But, it is true that this new bug could obviously create some difficulties for the users to report unexpected incidents at the time of emergency. According to BGR, the OnePlus 5 users have previously experienced a severe problem regarding the handset's display.
A "natural" jelly effect exists in the new OnePlus 5 handset and a person could see it whenever he scrolls the phone. The reports say the key reason for this problem is the inverted display of the phone. Fortunately, this is not a big issue since it is not related to any software and hardware problem.
Now users of the OnePlus 5 believe that the latest issue must be associated with the handset's GPS feature. It seems that the device is blocking any essential emergency line using the important GPS system to provide the location data to the operator. The Chinese manufacturer has acknowledged the issue and asked the owners to contact the company if they face the similar problem.
