Sony is said to be working on G8341 and G8441 smartphones, which are reportedly code name of Sony Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ1 Compact. However, just in, the G8341 has appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform.

According to the Geekbench listing, the Sony Xperia XZ1 (G8341) will be powered by Snapdragon 835 chipset and 4 GB RAM. On the benchmark, it is seen running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

Sony Xperia XZ1 (G8341) has scored 1909 and 6459 respectively on single-core and multi-core tests on Geekbench. Earlier rumors revealed that Xperia XZ1 would be featuring 5.2-inch FHD display and 3,000mAh battery, as reported by Android Marvel.

As the alleged Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact (G8441) was spotted with Android 8.0, it is possible that the Compact variant will come preloaded with Android 8.0 even though it is listed Nougat OS on Geekbench platform. A Polish retailer had also listed the unannounced model no. G8341 and G8441 phones earlier this month, it revealed that the G8341 would be costing €750 ($880) at launch and it would be coming in colors like Black, Moonlite Blue, Venus Pink, and Warm Silver.

The Xperia XZ1 Compact will be the smaller variant of the Sony Xperia XZ1. It will be also driven by Snapdragon 835 SoC and 4 GB RAM. The device will be arriving with a 4.6-inch HD display that will support a resolution of 720 x 1,280 pixels. A 2,800mAh battery will be there inside this phone.

According to Playful Droid, both smartphones are expected to release with new technology camera which will offer full pixel continuous shooting. However, it is speculated that the phones may house the same 19-megapixel Motion Eye sensor that was introduced on Xperia XZ Premium.

Apart from this, Sony is rumored to be working on a Xperia X Ultra phablet that may get announced at end of Q2 or in Q3 this year. All these smartphones are said to release in the Q3 of this year.
