This new handset is the successor of the last year's handset Honor 8. According to Gizmo China, the Chinese company released the Honor 9 handset first in China in June. Later the international release of the smartphone took place in July. During its launch, it was announced that the device would be available in Amber Gold, Sea Blue, Seagull Gray and Black. Eggshell Blue or the Robin-Egg Blue is the name of the recently added said color variant of the Honor 9. No doubt this new color option provides an elegant and fresh look. It is quite normal that the color will cover the body except the white portion of the front. The interesting part is so far no smartphone manufacturer has introduced this attractive color option. According to Playfuldroid, Google translates this new color variant as the Bird Blue. Leaked images have also suggested three more color options of the Honor 9 handset. The three color options are Peach Red, Yellow, and Orange. Now the new one just added another color variant to the list. It is expected that the new variant will go on sale later this month. The best part is this new variant of the Honor 9 will be available with the same features and pricing like the other variants. The features include the 5.15-inch full HD display. The Honor 9 also has the Kirin 960 SoC. The new variant will be available with only 6GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. The handset will land in China on August 16 with a price tag CNY 2,699 that is around $405. The Honor 9 has an 8MP camera on the front for capturing selfies. The 3,200mAh battery of the device is non-removable. The handset runs the Android 7.0 Nougat.
