Recently a new video has surfaced that revealed the durability test of the handset. Tech enthusiasts who have already pre-ordered the latest Samsung Galaxy Note 8 are now preparing to cherish the new handset. Meanwhile, a new durability test video from the JerryRigEverything has surfaced. According to GSMArena, this video shows the results of the scratch, bend and burn test of the device. In a word, it shows whether the new flagship device is worth its huge cost price or not. Now, the durability test video first depicted the scratch test of the Galaxy Note 8 of Samsung. During the scratch test, it is quite visible that the huge Infinity Display panel of the handset is strong enough that can resist several scratches. The front panel of Note 8 has a Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and interestingly the device can resist the scratches up to level 6. It is true that the panel gets deeper groove at a level 7. Watch video The top portion of the Galaxy Note 8 has the iris scanner, the proximity sensor, and the front facing camera. Notably, the said Gorilla Glass 5 protects these parts at the time of the scratch test. The back panel of the handset also has the same Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and so it has received no scratch marks. The back camera lenses and the LED flash also have shown good results during the scratch test. But, the important fingerprint sensor of the Galaxy Note 8 receives some scratches, though it performs nicely. According to the Android Authority, the fingerprint sensor is the only area that suffers real damage during the scratch test. Notably, the fingerprint sensor is placed in an area that creates difficulty for the users to reach it, so it is already out of favor. The S Pen also receives scratches easily but faces no problem regarding its functionality. The video shows the flame test of the Galaxy Note 8 after the scratch test. The AMOLED display of the handset lasts for ten seconds under the direct flame, and after that, the permanent damage is visible on the screen. After the flame test next is the bend test, and no doubt the Galaxy note 8 of Samsung also performs very well. This test reveals that once again Samsung has produced a nice sturdy handset. In a word, the overall performance of the handset during the durability test proves it as an impressive daily driver device.
