The cola company that has world-renowned success in the soft drinks industry has now opened a complete U-turn of interest with their revelation of their first ever smartphone device named Pepsi P1s. The gigantic multi company Pepsi announced last month that it is going to make a smartphone device that obviously steers the minds of the consumers. The company is not well known into delivering products in this part of the market. However, the legitimacy of their announcement has been clarified this month as it has revealed the Pepsi P1s. The device sports decent specs for a cheap smartphone. It is equipped with a big 5.5 display with a descent 1080p resolution that is capable of producing good viewing angles and crisp display. Running the device is Android 5.1 Lollipop with the courtesy of some of the company's pre-loaded themes. Under the hood is a Mediatek octa-core, which gives enough processing power to handle most of the apps present in the market today. A good 13 megapixel rear shooting camera is coupled with a 5 megapixel front shooter that can actually produce descent photos. It has 2 GB of RAM and an internal storage of 16 GB, which is expandable via SD card. Powering the device is a huge 3000 mAh battery, which is more than enough to provide power to the phone for almost a day of moderate use. Considering the cheap label of the phone, it is quite notable that the company integrated a fingerprint reader in the device. The fingerprint reading tech is mostly common in the midrange section of the smartphone market and rarely found in the entry level devices. The fingerprint reading feature of the P1s gives the user convenience in locking and unlocking the phone and added security purposes. The Pepsi P1s is offered at a very low price of USD $110 on JD finance, which is a Chinese version of Kickstarter. The product will be launched in China, and prices may vary due to currency conversion.
