The Rising Smart Phone Company, Xiaomi, released its newest offering, a tablet called Mi Pad 2. Given the current status of the market in the tablet division, it is expected that the second iteration of Xiaomi's tablet will be a lot better than its predecessor. Although the first Mi Pad had set an expression in its first launching, it had not really made a dent in the market. Fortunately, Mi Pad 2 has the chance to set the straight the record.
Not an Ipad killer, but the Mi Pad 2 certainly has its own way in a different market given its cheap price. The China-based company Xiaomi is well known in delivering a cheap device with decent specs and quality. The Mi Pad 2 external may look like an Ipad given its full metal body design. It has a 7.9-inch screen with 324 pixel density that is capable of producing a crisp display with decent viewing angles. Its processor is an Intel Atom X5 quad core with HD Intel graphics, which allow the device to run on Windows 10 as an option.
However, It is still not clear if the device offers dual boot operating system or another variant of the device will have Windows 10 as its driver -- although it was announced by Xiaomi that a Windows 10 version of the device will be released in December.
The device is currently offered in two variants such as a 16 GB and 64 GB with both having 2 GB of RAM. Both devices are expandable up to 128 GB enough memory to handle basic files and entertainment videos, music and apps. The Mi Pad 2 has an 8 megapixel rear shooter and a 5 megapixel front camera.
Although tablet devices are not well known in delivering good photo results, the Mi Pad line of devices has proved that they are capable in creating high quality photos. Powering the device is a massive 6190 mAh battery that is enough to provide a whole day power.
Xiaomi took a step higher with its Mi Pad 2 offerings. It's another solid offering same as its predecessor, but much more powerful and innovative. The addition of Windows 10 to the system of Mi Pad 2 will attract different slate owners to try the device.
The device is only worth USD $155 and is a lot cheaper than most of the tablet offerings in the market today. The device will go on sale in China on Nov. 27 alongside Redmi Note 3.
