The popular Google company has finally rolled out the six-person family plan on Dec. 9, 2015. The company said through a blog post a few days ago that it will take the Android sign ups to start in a few days from the confirmation.

The new Google family plan that sells for around $14.99 allows a family of six people on a single account to have individual Play Music profiles. Each of these profiles can have its own libraries, recommendations, playlists and listening history. This is the newest innovation of Google that can be used across different platforms such as Android, IOS devices and the web.

The Google Music Family plan is almost the same as Apple Music. What differences the former from the latter is it also comes with YouTube Red. This is the new ad free version of YouTube that allows each member of the plan to experience an advertisement free searching on the site. It also gives the member free listening on a selection of millions of songs available on Play Music.

The assigned Family Plan manager is also the only one who can see a master list of all the purchases made. Another of its notable functions is that it won't let you purchase hardware from Google and increase your Play Music balance on the other hand.

Lastly, Google Play Music also comes with its own cloud features. The cloud can store up to 50,000 songs that the users can listen to while they are offline.

In its press release, the company warned that even though it is the most ideal streaming platform to use, members of the plan can purchase things through the family payment method without the parents knowing. It is, however, a problem that the company is trying to solve by sending a notification to email once payment has been made.
