The next member of AMD's incredible Zen architecture family is just days away to see its official release. AMD has already fixed the date for Ryzen 5's launch on April 11, 2017. The chipset giant has not officially revealed much about its upcoming masterpiece. But the latest benchmarking presented by the well known Spanish reviewer EL Chapuzas Information has already created a potential buzz among computing fans about the extraordinary performance of this upcoming processor.

According to Forbes, AMD Ryzen 5 CPU showcased outstanding performance in the benchmarking test. The processing unit even overrode Intel Core i7, which is even currently retailed at a price range over that of Ryzen 5's costing. In the Cinebench R15 rendering test, AMD's latest stunner clinched a score of 1,123 which is much higher than the stocked score achieved by Intel Core i7-7700K flagship. Even when the reviewer tried to overclock the frequency of AMD's Ryzen 5 unit, he came up with a resulting rate of 3.9GHz at the CPU voltage consumption of only 1.3V. It should be noted in this context that the Ryzen 5 ranges to 3.2GHz at its normal frequency.

As per a report by Digital Trends, AMD Ryzen 5 also stood as better than Intel Core i7 in terms of its threads and cores as well. While AMD Ryzen 5 boasts 6 cores alongside 12 threads, Intel Core i7 processor sports only 4 cores and 8 threads. In the benchmarking, Ryzen 5 felt short to Intel Core i7 in only one context and that is high-level gaming. Although, AMD has already unveiled its own answer for high-end gaming purpose: Ryzen 7 lineup, which has already registered more powerful attributes against its rival flagships.

Besides specs and features, AMD Ryzen 5 also managed to be victorious with regards to its pricing. While Intel's similar flagship is still selling with a price tag of $350 at major marketplaces, AMD's CPU will be retailed at only $219. However, the benchmarking test just shows the performance ratings in papers only, it is still left to see how AMD Ryzen 5 flagships actually work post their official launch on April 11.
