Meizu is now up to release their new smartphone known as Meizu E2. The company has already been reported to send out media invites on the Chinese site, Weibo to join them in the launching date this month.

According to Price Baba, details about the Meizu E2 weren’t hinted. Yet, a Meizu smartphone was spotted to pass the Chinese Telecom Regulatory Authority (TENAA). The smartphone was listed with model number M612C in which is reported to possibly be the upcoming smartphone.

If that would happen, it was revealed that M612C has a 5.2 inch HD display donned with a metal body. The possible Meizu E2 was further explained to run on an octa-core 64-bit processor clocked at 1.3GHz. The Meizu M2 is then expected to have three variants as well. The first as a 2 GB RAM with 16GB storage, next is a 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version and a 4GB RAM with 64GB storage comes last.

The Meizu E2 was also said to have a dynamic 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Its battery was said to be a 2930mAh battery, which supports fast charging. All of the variants was also mentioned to have SD Card support.

Speaking about the design, it was noted that the screen display and other features seem to follow the usual Meizu platform. Physical home button with the fingerprint scanner, the usual volume buttons on the side and of course the antenna strips on the body. The previewed Meizu E2 was also mentioned to be somehow similar to Meizu M5S per The Mobile Indian. 

As much as that isn’t confirmed, Meizu’s VP Li Nan kept tight-lipped about necessary detail and specs of the upcoming Meizu E2. But, he did promise something innovative that would break away from the M series. Nonetheless, tech consumers would have to wait to further know the surprise innovation.

Meanwhile, GSM Arena also reported that aside from the mentioned M612C, there are two more Meizu smartphones that passed the China Compulsory Certification (3C). The models were mentioned to be listed as Meizu M741Y and M741A. The first was expected to be Meizu S while the other is Meizu E2.

While specs are unknown, it is just listed as well that both would have an 18W fast charging capacity. Yet, no confirmations have been made regarding its price and specs. The press conference of Meizu E2’s unveiling is said to happen at the Beijing Performing Arts Center on April 26 at 3 PM China Time (12:30 PM IST).
