Microsoft next big move is making the headlines of online news as of late. Latest reports are saying that the company is pressed to release the Surface Pro 5 and reportedly will unveil the said device this fall. What makes the Redmond-based company decides to launch the alleged grandest pro tablet much earlier?

Microsoft is a multinational technology company that develops computer software, online services, and hardware devices. Its famous software products include the Windows operating system, the Office suite and the Internet Explorer and Edge web browsers. While its best-known hardware products are the Microsoft Surface line of tablet computers which will have the Surface Pro 5 as the supposed flagship device this year.

Since last year, the Surface Pro 5 has been the most anticipated device from the Microsoft company. It's almost been two years since the Redmond-based company introduces the last product line of the Surface Pro series, the Surface Pro 4, and many consumers are eager to its follow-up. And now, it appears that the giant tech company is desperate to have the new Surface Pro in the market.

According to CNBC, it is already time for Microsoft to launch the Surface Pro 5 after sales for the Surface product line were down for the first quarter. Revenue reports that ended last March 31 revealed that Surface sales made a 26 percent drop to $831 million, the lowest figures in more than a year for the said product line.

The low Surface Pro sales point to the little interest of the consumer to Microsoft new Surface Book with Performance Base and Surface Studio that is way too expensive for them. Consumers would want the Surface Pro product line which is more appealing at an affordable price. That is why the release of the Surface Pro 5 has been the overwhelming shout out of people to the giant tech company.

As reported by Blasting News, reports are suggesting that Microsoft should already launch the Surface Pro 5 this fall as eager consumers are ecstatic to have it. Some say that the device could be the ultimate Pro tablet coming in the market but others are saying that consumers might be disappointed knowing that it is nothing new with the said product.

Speculations are spreading that the Surface Pro 5 will be just the revamped version of the current version in the market but reports claim that it will be powered by a cutting-edge technology. Microsoft is said to be supporting the Pro 5 with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset but others say that will also use Intel's newest Kaby Lake processor.

Aside from the processor, rumors are spreading that Microsoft will keep the Thunderbolt 3.0 port for the Surface Pro 5 as well as be providing it with an all new stylus pen. Though there still no confirmation that the Pro 5 will be introduced in the Spring Event this May, it would be wise for the Redmond-based company to unveil it since revenue is not having a great return for them nowadays.
