South Korean consumer electronics manufacturer Samsung recently unveiled two new smartphones into the markets by releasing the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. Both the smartphones come with the latest generation hardware like a Snapdragon 835 processor, improved device metrics etc. On the other side, Samsung has also introduced their mid-range Galaxy A7 that has a price difference of around $200 when compared to the latest device.

As noted by Android Headlines, Samsung has opted for an all-glass construction for the Galaxy S8 device while the Galaxy A7 is built with metal on all sides providing a rugged build while also showing good looks. Samsung in collaboration with Qualcomm developed the Snapdragon 835 chip which is exclusive to the manufacturer for some time. The A7 on the other side comes with the older generation Exynos 7880 octa-core processor developed by Samsung themselves.

A spec-sheet of both the devices thanks to GSMArena has an in-depth comparison mostly highlighting both the pros and cons for the Galaxy S8 as well as the Galaxy A7 in their own hardware segments. The new flagship device comes out on top in most of the areas like the display for example, where Samsung has done an excellent job by implementing a beautiful panel free from any physical buttons.

Both Galaxy S8, as well as the Galaxy A7 smartphones, are IP68 which is a major bonus for those users who make use of their devices in places where there are frequent dust and water presence. The former runs on the latest Nougat operating system while the A7 is still making use of Google's Marshmallow OS. The display on the A7 is limited at a resolution of 1080p on a 5.7-inch panel while the Galaxy S8 comes out on top with a slightly longer display, with a better 1440p resolution.

Both the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy A7 supports fast charging technology as well as carrying a USB-C port for data transfer and charging purposes. For a $200 price-cut, Samsung Galaxy A7 pretty much manages to stay on par with the latest flagship devices wherever possible.
