Xiaomi Mi 6 is the flagship smartphone for the Xiaomi company for this year. However, the handset that was only released last month is now reportedly having shortages on supply for its processor chipset and ceramic shells. Will the Chinese smartphone maker be able to solve this predicament?

Boost with a high-end design and features, Xiaomi Mi 6 already made a great impression and allegedly have been competitive to the more popular smartphones available in the market today. One thing that consumers love about the device is that it features the same specifications with other famous smartphones but it only cost at a cheaper price.

Even though it is only available in mainland China up to this time, Xiaomi Mi 6 popularity is now widespread. The Chinese smartphone company also plans to release the Mi 6 in the other markets in the coming months. But now, the device is experiencing some problem in its production, as vital components such as processor chipset and ceramic shell are having a shortage.

According to XDA Developers, Xiaomi Mi 6 is currently facing supply shortage of its Snapdragon 835 processor chipsets and ceramic shells. But this is not surprising at all as Samsung also face the same problem with its flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, which is also using the Snapdragon 835 as its processor chipset.

But aside from the processor, Xiaomi is also struggling to get a supply of ceramic shells for Mi 6's body. The ceramic body of the Xiaomi Mi 6 is getting high demand just recently as its elegant look is more appealing to consumers. But, Xiaomi assures to their consumers that they are already resolving the issue with regards to supply of vital components.

On a separate report by GSM Arena, Xiaomi Mi 6 just recently undergoes scratch, burn and bend testing just know the smartphone durability. The test was captured in a video and was uploaded to YouTube that intends to know the truth behind the advertised feature of the said handset.

Looking back on the video, Xiaomi Mi 6 appears to have passed the three durability tests with flying colors making the device as good as the other highly popular smartphones. And from the looks of it, consumers will get its money worth if they wish to buy a Mi 6 smartphone.
