Moto plans to release two new smartphones for the developing markets with the release of Moto C and the C Plus smartphones that will be offered at a starting price of $97. These new inexpensive handsets from the Lenovo-owned firm will be sold in Spring this year. At the moment, there's no precise information about which country will be receiving the new smartphones first since their planned launch includes regions from Latin America up to Asia Pacific.

Going into the details about the new Moto C and C Plus smartphones, the low prices of both the devices is due to Moto's decision to introduce them only for the developing markets where people don't usually spend on investing a lot of finances into a smartphone. According to details from Engadget, the Moto C specifications has been on par with earlier leaks which hinted a 5MP rear-facing camera.

The Verge has come out with a detailed spec sheet for both the Moto C and the C Plus smartphones which primarily run on the latest Android Nougat OS from Google. That said, the Moto C is a 5-inch 480p display with 2 MP front-facing camera, Regarding storage, the smartphone will offer external storage capabilities up to a maximum size of 32GB. Onboard storage is limited to a capacity of 8GB. Other details about the device also include a 2350mAh battery that powers the whole device with a quad-core MediaTek processor onboard.

It's next better variant, the Moto C Plus smartphone will feature a 5-inch 720p display equipped with two SIM slots. The smartphone also runs on the same quad-core MediaTek processor with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. Like the Moto C itself, the C Plus also offers expandable storage up to a maximum capacity of 32GB. The phone features a 4000mAh battery onboard while color choices for the device include cherry, white, black and gold which is common for both the new models.
