Huawei unveils the Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus, its latest smartphone product line. Both devices boast with first-rate specs and features that could well match up with other high-end handsets in the market today. What attributes will the two newest smartphones will bring into consumers anew?

Huawei is a Chinese multinational networking and telecommunication equipment company that have already carved a name in the semiconductor industry. Currently, it is the largest telecommunications equipment maker in the world surpassing Ericsson. Founded thirty years ago, the company is now expanding its market.

From a network and telecom equipment manufacturer, Huawei is now venturing in producing high-end handsets like mobile phones and tablets. Some of their famous gadgets are Huawei Mate and Huawei P10 smartphone series and Huawei MateBook tablet series. Now, the company is set to reveal its newest device in the market.

According to NDTV, Huawei finally unveils the Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus smartphone that was boosted with a remarkable specs and features. Both devices will sports a 2.36GHz octa-core Kirin 659 chipset that will come along with ARM Mali-T830 MP2 GPU. Both will also have a 4GB of RAM and will run the Android 7.0 Nougat software based on EMUI 5.1 OS.

Huawei main attraction for both devices is its dual camera setup at the back and the 20-megapixel front shooter. The dual camera setup includes a 12-megapixel sensor and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens for optical zoom purposes. It will also sport a USB Type-C port at the bottom edge and will have 4G LTE, 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity support.

But Huawei features different display screen, storage capacity and battery for both device according to XDA Developers. The Nova 2 handset will carry a 5-inch LCD Full HD screen (1080 x 1920 pixel) resolution with 64GB internal storage and a 2,950mAh battery. Meanwhile, Nova 2 Plus will sport a 5.5-inch LCD Full HD screen with 128GB internal storage and a 3,340mAh battery.

Huawei also gave five color option for both devices and will be available in grass green, rose gold, streamer gold, aurora blue, and obsidian black. Prices were also revealed with the Nova 2 will cost 2,499 RPM (around $365) while Nova 2 Plus will have a price tag of 2,899 RPM (around $423). Both devices will be available for sale beginning June 16.
