Chinese company OnePlus has finally confirmed that the new OnePlus 5 will see the daylight soon. The company will announce the handset on June 20, 2017.

After a series of leaks and rumors, OnePlus has declared that the OnePlus 5 will be revealed on June 20 at 12 PM ET. According to The Verge, the event will be streamed online, though pop-up events will take place in some selected cities in the world later. The company has built a landing page for the upcoming smartphone OnePlus 5. The page reveals some important information about the events so that fans can attend them.

The landing page reveals about the event that will be held on June 20 in the New York City. The CEO of the OnePlus company, Carl Pei, and Marques Brownlee will participate in that event. Later, some pop-up events will occur outside the United States on June 21. No doubt the key attraction of these events must be the much-anticipated upcoming OnePlus 5 smartphone.

It is expected that like the previous smartphone of the OnePlus company, the upcoming OnePlus 5 will also feature the high-end hardware specifications. The price of this handset may also be lower than other flagship handsets of the popular smartphone makers, like Samsung, LG, Google. According to GSMArena, OnePlus 5 will contain the latest Snapdragon 835 chipset.

This upcoming smartphone of OnePlus probably features more color versions than its predecessors. The smartphone may be thinner compared to its competitors. The upcoming OnePlus 5 handset faces a good competition from another flagship handset, the Moto Z2.

Rumors have already indicated that OnePlus 5 may have the dual-camera setup. OnePlus has already announced that it is teaming up with the DxO to optimize the camera performance. Though, none of the companies offer any details about the nature of this collaboration. So far no information is available to know whether DxO is contributing to the software or the hardware components of the camera.
