The latest Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air has been the hot topic in the online news today. This is after the Xiaomi company officially revealed the existence of the said laptop that soon to be launch in the market. But aside from revealing the device, leaks are spreading that it will feature a 7th gen Intel CPU, a new GPU and a fingerprint reader.

Xiaomi is a Chinese electronics company that designs, develops and sells smartphones, mobile apps, laptops and other related consumer electronic products. Founded in 2010, it already established a name in the consumer electronic industry being named as the fifth smartphone maker in 2015. Now, the company is ready to unveil its latest Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air that will be a fresh addition to the company's product line.

Aside from the Mi Notebook Air series, Xiaomi's well-known device are the Xiaomi Mi series smartphones. But presently, the Chinese tech company is focusing on its Mi Notebook Air product line and reports say that the latest Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air will boast with an upgraded specifications and will sports a comparatively compact design.

According to GSMArena, the latest Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air will feature the newest 7th gen Core i5-7200U with a clockspeed of 3.1GHz from the previous 6th gen Core-i5 chipset. It will have the new Nvidia GeForce MX150 GPU replacing the GTX 940MX GPU of older models. It will also carry an 8GB of DDR4 RAM with an option of 128GB or 256GB internal storage. It will also come with a fingerprint reader found at the corner of the trackpad for the internal hardware refresh.

Android Headlines further added that the latest Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air will possess a 13.3-inch IPS LCD Full HD display panel having a 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. The device will be relatively small with a size dimension of 309.6 × 210.9 × 14.8mm (12.19 x 8.30 x 0.58 in) and will weigh only at around 1.5kgs (approximately 3.3 pounds).

The latest Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air will also feature a USB Type-C port, an HDMI port and a Bluetooth 4.0 version. Moreover, it will be powered by a 4-cell Lithium-ion battery however it never detailed how much long will the battery last. Sources also say that the 2017 Mi Notebook Air will be launched today, June 12, as pre-orders will also be offered.
