Here's our breakdown of everything you need to know about Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2.

Prices: The price is around $649 for the 32GB storage option and around $749 for the 64GB variant.

Deals: Not many deals going on for this one, but you can get a refurbished Note Pro for as low as $369.

Pros: Samsung Galaxy Note Pro comes with a 12.2-inch octa-core, touchscreen with stylus support. The stylus is holstered in the upper-right edge of the device. The 2560 x 1600 pixel display is amazing. Text rendering is bright, clear and stunningly sharp. It has support for the latest Wi-Fi standards. Galaxy Note Pro is remarkably thin and has a good battery life.

Cons: The Note Pro weighs 750 gms making it difficult for the user to hold it. Samsung does not provide any accessories to make handling any easier. The back of the Note Pro is still made of plastic but with a rubberized finish and faux leather look which make it better than glossy plastic. Still the design is not very appealing and the device picks up finger grease too easily. The battery charge time is very slow.

Specs: Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 measures 295.6 x 203.9 x 8 mm and weighs 750 gms. It has a 12.2-inch, super clear LCD capacitive touchscreen which supports 16M colors and has a resolution of 2560 x 1600. It comes in two variants, where one runs on Quad-core 1.9 GHz Cortex-A15 and the other runs on quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 processor which operates on a 3GB RAM. There are two internal storage options provided i.e. 32 GB or 64 GB. The rear camera is 8 MP with a 2 MP secondary camera. It has a 9500 mAH battery which gives up to 12 hours of talk time with multimedia.

Talking Points: Samsung has a strong hold on the smartphone market but surprisingly is not able to get the same response to its tablets. The Note 12.2 failed to meet the Tablet enthusiasts' expectations and is only a slight update of the 10.1 tablet. It does have the biggest display in the market but fails to convince the user to spend a hefty amount that it's available for.

Prices: The price is around US$649 for the 32GB storage option and around US$749 for the 64GB variant.

Conclusion: Note Pro 12.2 is not too different from Note 10.1 as the latter can do almost everything the former can. In fact, the 10.1 is slightly better when it comes to certain aspects. The hefty price of $749 is hard to digest since all you get is two inches of extra screen space compared to the 10.1 variant. The note Pro 12.2 may be a compelling buy when it comes to certain features but for the price it comes at, there are better options.
