Apple is currently sending out invites for its "Spring Forward" event which is scheduled to be on March 9. Apple has stated that it will be launching the New Apple watch (or watches: Apple Watch, Watch Sport and Apple Watch Edition) in April. Apple watch is expected to be the leading light of the event but if rumours are to be believed then Apple has something more interesting up its sleeves, possibly a new MacBook Air. Looking in the flashback Apple has always launched more than one product an event. Well we have a twist here; some rumors also claim that Apple will be launching the new MacBook Air on Feb 24th, which happens to be the late Steve Jobs' birthday.

According to an Apple insider, Apple has stopped restocking MacBook Air shipments and dealers have been advised to lessen the cost of existing 11- and 13-inch models which gives a hint that a new Apple product is coming.

The new MacBook Air is expected to sport a 12 inch screen with a Retina display and a faster processor. Reports also cite that the new Apple MacBook Air will be ultra slim and will contain some iPhone features like TouchID fingerprint sensor and Apple Pay.

It is also rumoured that the new MacBook Air will have a new designed Trackpad without any buttons and the fingerprint sensor will be integrated inside the Trackpad.

There is a huge possibility that the new MacBook Air will be powered by Broadwell chip as it increases the battery life and decreases the utilization of fans. If Apple opts for the Skylake processor then we don't have any MacBook Air launching before summer. It is also rumoured that Apple will be replacing all the ports and include a USB 3.0 Type-C.

Another huge possibility of the new MacBook Air is that it will be available in new colours like the iPads and iPhones.

Well it is Apple we are dealing with so anything is possible.
