Canadian lithium battery manufacturer, Volthium Energy, has made significant strides in the production of ultra-high performance lithium batteries. Established 11 years ago, the company prides itself on developing its products entirely in-house with local engineers. Its batteries are more energy-efficient and come in a smaller format than those of its competitors.

The company has partnered with a world-renowned cell manufacturer, known for its contributions to the automotive industry. In addition, the electronic parts and related components of its batteries are supplied by a manufacturer with contracts from the U.S. Army and NASA.

Performant, compliant.

Volthium Energy's decision to produce its own batteries has been rewarded with mandates from major industrial players. The company's 48V solar storage battery is the only lithium battery manufacturer product approved by Hydro-Quebec. The battery has already been certified by the CSA agency to UL 1973 and UL 9540A standards and is now available to all departments of Hydro-Quebec.

UL 1973 and UL 9540A are safety standards for stationary energy storage systems and battery modules, respectively, established by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), a global safety science organization. The CSA agency, on the other hand, is a Canadian organization that provides standards and testing for a variety of industries.

When a battery is certified to meet these standards, it means that it has undergone rigorous testing to ensure that it is safe and reliable. The certification process involves testing the battery for its ability to withstand various conditions, including high temperatures, vibrations, and shocks, among others.

In the case of Volthium Energy's 48V solar storage battery, its certification to UL 1973 and UL 9540A standards by the CSA agency means that it has met the highest safety and performance standards. This certification ensures that the battery is safe to use and can withstand a variety of conditions, which is crucial in the energy industry.

Chosen by Hydro-Québec

Volthium Energy's cutting-edge projects also include solar energy storage for the residential market, and an emergency energy reserve for computer server rooms and Hydro-Quebec service trucks. The company has been developing energy redundancy solutions for over 11 years, and the high-performance lithium batteries it offers are testament to this.

Other cutting-edge projects

Volthium is currently managing several cutting-edge projects such as solar energy storage to reduce power grid peaks for the residential market, as well as the creation of an emergency energy reserve for computer server rooms and Hydro-Quebec service trucks.

Volthium Energy's batteries are highly scalable and easily repairable, thanks to easy access to their electronic boards. Its products are designed for a variety of applications, which further highlights the performance of its batteries.
