Two of the world's most famous tech billionaires exchanged taunts in recent days, wherein Twitter and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk suggested a cage match between him and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

Confirming the peculiar development, UFC President Dana White revealed in a TMZ interview that both Musk and Zuckerberg are genuinely committed to engaging in a cage fight. White assured that he had discussions with both individuals, who expressed sincere interest in the unusual showdown.

Musk Vs. Zuckerberg: How It All Started

The exchange of verbal jabs between Musk, the 51-year-old CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, and Zuckerberg, the 39-year-old CEO of Meta, initially sparked when Musk responded to a tweet discussing Meta's rumored Twitter competitor.

In a tweet, Musk expressed skepticism about the idea, implying that the world wouldn't appreciate being solely under Zuckerberg's control. A user then mentioned that Zuckerberg now practices jiu-jitsu, to which Musk responded with a playful challenge.

Musk humorously suggested that he would be willing to engage in a cage match with Zuckerberg, playfully taunting him with a cheeky emoji. One might expect that, given their responsibilities and commitments, these highly busy individuals would choose to ignore such provocations and focus on more important matters.

However, as Futurism reported, Zuckerberg could not resist joining the banter and posted a screenshot of Musk's "cage match" tweet on his Instagram account. He responded with a bold statement urging Musk to reveal the location for their showdown.

Despite Musk's somewhat childlike behavior and the assumption that Zuckerberg, as the more mature individual, might decline the invitation, it seems both billionaires are eager to entertain the idea of a physical confrontation. Their exchange, which started with a lighthearted challenge, now appears to have taken a more serious turn.

Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg in UFC

In an interview with TMZ, UFC President Dana White confirmed that he had discussions with Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg regarding their intentions to engage in a hand-to-hand combat showdown within the UFC's Vegas Octagon.

As per a recent article in Futurism, White emphasized that both billionaires were genuinely committed to the idea, expressing their eagerness to participate in the highly anticipated fight. Mark Zuckerberg was the first to approach White, seeking confirmation of Musk's seriousness, to which Musk affirmed his genuine intent.

White, clearly enthusiastic about the prospect, expressed his excitement over what he believes would be the greatest fight in history, surpassing any previous event in terms of scale and popularity. He anticipated that the fight would generate unparalleled pay-per-view records and raise hundreds of millions of dollars for charitable causes.

White further emphasized that the appeal of this fight extends beyond just avid fight fans, as the clash between two iconic tech figures would captivate a much wider audience.

The specific details of the match remain uncertain. It is unclear whether the fight will adhere to the UFC's "Unified Rules of Mixed Martial Arts." Furthermore, the potential involvement of Meta Quest headsets or SpaceX's distinctive elements, such as a rocket explosion, adds an element of unpredictability and intrigue to the spectacle that awaits.
