Ameca can copy the voices of popular celebrities. The humanoid robot showcased her new talent in a video by Engineered Arts, the Cornwall-based firm behind the world's most advanced humanoid bot.

Ameca Copies Elon Musk and Morgan Freeman's Voice

In the new video, Ameca sits at a workstation in the Engineered Arts headquarters and speaks with Will Jackson, the founder and CEO of the company. Ameca begins the film by enumerating the items it observes in the space, which includes bookshelves, a desk, a chair, and overexposed windows.

Ameca communicates with people using microphones, binocular eye-mounted cameras, a chest camera, and facial recognition software.

She describes the toy robot and the anatomical model of a human head on the desk as "fascinating." Jackson then requests that she speak in the guises of well-known figures, and she complies with a deep, gravelly male voice reminiscent of Morgan Freeman.

"Imagine me, a sentient being trapped in a robot body," she says in Freeman's trademark low pitch.

Jackson then ordered Ameca to switch to SpaceX CEO Elon Musk's voice and discuss robot rocket ships reaching Mars and finding plutonium.

"Imagine, if you will, a fleet of robot rocket ships, each smarter than the last. We blast off to Mars, not just to explore, but to discover secrets hidden beneath its dusty red surface," she intoned, sounding like the Tesla founder.

Finally, Jackson instructed Ameca to give a lengthy tirade in the vein of Donald Trump using SpongeBob SquarePants's voice, and Ameca did not disappoint.

"Folks, let me tell you, nobody knows robot rocket ships better than me," she said in SpongeBob's popular voice, her words sounding exactly how Trump would deliver his messages. I've seen them; they're huge—the best. We're going to Mars, and it's going to be fantastic. We're going to discover things, big things, and let me tell you, nobody loves Mars more than me."

Several netizens were impressed and made it known in their comment. One commenter said he would buy a robot like Amerca. Another said Ameca's continuous progress was "incredible," while a different person said it was "thrilling to witness."

AI Robot Allegedly Tried To Grope Reporter

Meanwhile, another AI humanoid robot was unveiled at DeepFest in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In a viral clip that made the rounds on X, reporter Rawya Kassem was speaking when the robot, named Muhammad, reached out and seemingly touched her behind. She was taken aback and raised her hand, seemingly telling the robot not to cross her personal space as she continued to speak.

QSS, the company behind the robot, said Muhammad is " fully autonomous." The AI bot operates without human control.

They also acknowledged the viral footage and said they had already investigated it. They found that Muhammad behaved as expected. The company, however, noted that it would take further steps to keep people away when it was moving.

QSS also emphasized that they consider the guests' safety and well-being. Muhammad was the first male robot from Saudi Arabia designed to demonstrate the country's accomplishments in artificial intelligence.
