In a rural Oakland county, a dad eats several chocolate brownies, but soon he thinks that he is having a stroke. Apparently, there was a special ingredient in the brownie - marijuana.

After the father called 911, the firefighters and the policemen responded to the call and it was then the man's 17 year old daughter revealed that marijuana was included in the brownies as a special ingredient.

The police has not revealed the identities of the father and the daughter as of now.

The 58 year old father was immediately taken to the hospital but he has been released since he is in good health now.

The brownies that were baked a night before, has been taken by the police and are now in the lab for analysis. According to the Time, the officials are not yet determined whether or not the teenager would be charged with possession.

Medical use of marijuana is legal in Michigan, but the users should have a medical marijuana card. Those who don't, will be charged with a misdemeanor. People who are found guilty, have to face up to a year in jail and a $2,000 fine.

It was during 2012 and 2014 when the legalization of marijuana had started. Colorado and Washington passed the initiatives to decriminalize and legalize the usage of marijuana by popular vote in 2012. Since then, legalized marijuana markets have been opened in both the states and the U.S. Legal retail sales began this year.

As of now, many states are following the lead of Washington and Colorado and getting closer to the legalization every election year. Currently, the medical use of marijuana is legal in 16 states (not including California) and the District of Columbia.

According to the Huffington Post, the marijuana industry is expected to continue growing over the next five years. It is also predicted that 14 other states will legalize the recreational use of marijuana.
