With everyone getting so busy these days and you are feeling bored with nothing to do, then Google's newly launched app might be the answer to your problem. The latest app "Who's Down" allows you to view who among your friends are available to hang out.

As per 9to5Google, first to spot the new app, just sliding a switch, your list of friends will already know if you are down to hang out. The status will be available for three hours and allows you to choose several activities you are down with, for example, anyone down to grab some lunch watch a movie or jog just to name a few. You can also browse what your friends are down for and you can instantly interact using the in-app chat room, which disappears after 24 hours of last activity.

"Instantly see which of your friends are free to hang out, right when you are... It's that simple. Always know who is free to hang out, so you never miss out on the fun," reads the app listing.

It basically allows friends with common interest to group together and do the activity. So far, the app is available for free, but on an invite-only basis. This means that only university students in the Unites States can use, although as per The News Independent, it does not require academic email ID upon sign up; however, it requires the student's institution to join the wait list. "Who's Down" can be downloaded both through the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Meanwhile, the tech giant has not released any official statement yet. "We're not down to share more details yet," said Google's spokesperson when asked for a comment on the silent release of the app.

"Barring Google's powerful autocomplete feature being used to reduce the time it takes to type in activities of interest, Google's design choices are hardly novel," TechCrunch stated.
