SpaceX company has released a statement saying that it plans to send two people on a mission to fly around the moon this coming 2018. The two travelers approached the company and already paid the large deposit. The plan for this trip is to send the two individuals to circle around the moon and after that back to Earth. They won't land on the moon's surface. CEO Elon Musk confirmed the exciting news on Feb.27

"We are delighted to report that SpaceX has been approached to fly two individuals on a trip around the moon late next year. They have earlier paid a deposit to do a moon mission. Like the Apollo space travelers before them, these people will go into space carrying the hopes and dreams of all mankind, driven by the universal human spirit of exploration," notes SpaceX.

The forthcoming mission will fly two private residents in a SpaceX rocket around the moon. The mission is being focused in the second quarter of 2018. The trip around the moon is expected to last a week and the spacecraft will be launched from LC-39A, which is at the Kennedy Space Center. This is a similar Launchpad NASA sent for its Apollo missions.

Musk has said that the spacecraft would be self-ruling or autonomous, suggesting that it would not require any especially trained astronauts on board. But, the two travelers will be trained widely before the mission. The travelers are probably going to be trained for emergency procedures, in spite of the fact that they would not be responsible for operating the spacecraft, as per usatoday

The spacecraft will supposedly travel a bit into deep space before circling back to Earth. The mission may cover a trip of 300,000 or 400,000 miles. Musk noticed that the expected moon trip would be a huge commitment or contribution to the company's main objective of setting up permanent colonies on Mars.
