Listeriosis Outbreak Now Poses Threat to Ice Cream—Blue Bell Creameries Recalls Products

It’s in the popcorn, in the caramel apples, and now it’s in the ice cream. It appears that Listeria monocytogenes has some pretty great tastes, seeing as how it has infected all of our favorite treats. And now, in what happens to be the company’s first recall in a successful 108-year history, a new outbreak of Listeriosis has caused Blue Bell Creameries to take its ice cream off of the shelves.

Keurig Recalls more than 7 Million Coffee Makers Due to Burn Risk

This morning, after receiving over 200 reports of hot liquid spraying from the brewer of their single-serve coffee makers, Keurig (produced by Green Mountain Inc.) issued the recall of over 7 million machines as consumers entered the final leg of the holiday season. And while the reports may not seem like a cause for concern, over 90 burn-related injuries, the company is taking every precaution to recall the faulty equipment.

Concern Over Airbag Recall Crashes NHTSA Website

An announcement on Monday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration warning consumers that over 4.7 million cars might be recalled due to defects in air bag systems nearly shutdown the NHTSA's safercar.gov website as millions of Americans attempted to find out if their cars were on the potential recall list.
