During what is considered as Australia's worst fire season ever, a 19-year-old asthmatic girl lost her life from choking on bushfire smoke in her home in NSW. Her family recently urged on making checks on the air quality in the area to make sure it is safe for everyone, particularly asthmatics, on behalf of their late daughter.
