She is known for writing the best-selling book 'I dreamed of Africa'. A movie was also being released which was based on the novel. According to The Telegraph, author Kuki Gallmann was in her car when she was attacked. After being shot, she was taken to the Nanyuki County Hospital for emergency treatment and then was shifted to Aga Khan Hospital for special treatments. It is reported that her condition is stable now. Author Kuki Gallmann is 73 years of age. She was hit by a bullet which injured her seriously while she was looking over her property with the Kenya Wildlife Services rangers. She was surveying the harm done to her property by pyro criminals who burned down structures at one of Laikipia Nature Conservancy's tourism lodges. Watch video Despite the fact that it is not yet known precisely who is responsible for the attack, the shooters are expected to be armed dairy cattle herders who have been attacking the property of author Kuki Gallmann and other adjacent farms looking for munching land. A savage dry season has driven these herders and a huge number of dairy cattle onto private homesteads and farms, The Washington Post reported. Kenya is facing a drought which is believed to have a great negative impact on over half the country. This situation has also been declared as a national disaster for this East African nation. Kenya's military and police have been attempting to incapacitate and drive the herders and their animals out of farms they've attacked, yet their activities seem to have heightened the savagery. At the point when the military and police drive herders from one farm, they move into another. This is the main reason for the attack on author Kuki Gallmann.
