An agreement between the American Physical Society and The European Organization for Nuclear Research or CERN is done for open access of SCOAP3. A great initiative to explore scientific information.

CERN plays the key role in managing the initiative of SCOAP3 or the Sponsoring Consortium for Open Access Publishing in Particle Physics. According to this agreement, three main journals of the American Physical Society or APS can publish articles related to high-energy physics or HEP. reported that the key journals are Physical Review Letters, Physical Review C, and the Physical Review D. The open access of the articles will be effective from January 1, 2018.

The authors of the articles will not carry any direct cost when they will be published and openly accessed by the American Physical Society's journals. The agreement makes stronger the bond between the CERN and the APS that ultimately helps in serving the physics community globally. Kate Kirby, the CEO of the APS, utters significantly about this important and effective step.

Kate Kirby says that APS has always supported the valuable principles of the open access to the benefit of the scientific enterprise. American Physical Society is famous for publishing the HEP content. According to the Media and Press Relations of CERN, this society works as a non-profit international publisher.

SCOAP3 maintains the free and the unrestricted exchange of the essential scientific information. This free and the unrestricted exchange takes place within the scientific community globally and beyond. The key aim was to promote and unveil the essential advancement of the particle physics. American Physical Society will enhance this promotion with the open access of the scientific information.

SCOAP3 plays effectively as the global consortium of three thousand libraries and the research institutes belong to 44 countries. This is not the end as eight agencies play the key role in funding this consortium. Now American Physical Society is ready to be a part of this praiseworthy work.

SCOAP3 was first launched in 2014 and since then 15,000 HEP articles were prepared to become accessible to any individual. All the articles are the evidence of 20,000 scientists' creativity. These scientists belong to 100 countries all over the world. The agreement of the American Physical Society with the CERN will make those articles more accessible than before.

The open access agreement between the CERN and the American Physical Society regarding the SCOAP3 promotes the dissemination of important scientific results globally. Now more people can easily access many required information related to important works of different scientists. No doubt the participation of the APS increases the success rate of a positive initiative to explore advanced scientific creations.
