The human brain is the main reason for obesity. It is because fructose is converted in the brain that causes diabetes and obesity.

In a report published by Science Daily introduced the fructose, a sugar from glucose which is converted in the human brain. The very point is, fructose from the brain is connected to diabetes and obesity, hence, it likely gives effects on the human diet.

Basically, fructose is known as a simple sugar that causes obesity. This simple sugar is found in fruits, table sugar, processed foods, and vegetables. A Recent study by Yale researchers found out that aside from the mentioned sources, glucose can be also converted into fructose thru the human brain.

However, this idea seems to be somehow questionable for how does sugar can get into the brain and converted into fructose. According to Live Science, there's a possibility that glucose enters the brain thru crossing the blood-brain barrier.

To prove the idea, eight healthy people were set for a study to have their brain scanned for more than four hours. The purpose is to measure the levels of glucose and fructose in their brains. Along the process, the researchers took blood samples from time to time for measuring the blood glucose levels of participants.

After the test, the researchers concluded that the increase of glucose levels in the blood and brain causes the fructose level in the brain to increase. However, there's a slight delay in time before the brain fructose level increase.

Doctor Janice Hwang said, "In This study, we show for the first time that fructose can be produced in the human brain. Additionally, the study resulted in new questions related to fructose consumption in a diet and how it can affect the blood sugar.

It was the first time that fructose was found to be produced in the brain from glucose. The study was seen to be particularly relevant to patients suffering from diabetes and obesity. Possibly, this can also provide new ideas related to the causes of obesity and diabetes and on the effects of sugar on brain functions.
