A day after an unexplained aerial vehicle was blasted out of the Canadian sky, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau wrote on Twitter he and President Biden had ordered the object violating Canadian airspace to be removed.

The US used their F-22 fighter jet to shoot down the car-sized unexplained aerial vehicle over Yukon, Canada. The fighter jet was under the jurisdiction of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), which is run by the Us and Canada. The Canadian government is now in the process of retrieving the debris to determine its nature and origin.

Second Time a Strange Flying Vehicle Was Shot Down

The recent unexplained aerial vehicle over Canada is the second time in a few days that an unusual object has been shot down after flying into US territory, Live Science reported.

A week ago, a Chinese spy balloon was destroyed after it was detected flying over Idaho in late January. The balloon was much larger than the object shot down over Canada and was traveling tens of thousands of feet above civilian airspace.

Around 9 p.m. Alaska time., on February 9, the US government dispatched a surveillance plane to follow the object detected in the US airspace flying at an altitude used by civilian aircraft, between 20 and 40 mph (32 and 64 km/h).

It crisscrossed Alaskan terrain before sailing out to sea. National Security Council spokesperson John F. Kirby said the plane was heading toward the North Pole when it was shot down over the Arctic Ocean off the coast of Canada in February. Authorities noted that there is no proof that the item constituted a military danger thus far.

The United States is currently attempting to retrieve the wreckage in order to establish what the initial item was. However, the hard, snowy weather has hampered recovery operations, which are being aided by the U.S. According to the New York Times, Northern Command, Alaska National Guard troops, the FBI, and local law enforcement are taking their time.

The US Defense Department is investigating a number of unusual flying objects. The Pentagon revealed records in early January revealing that it was struggling to explain around half of the hundreds of unexplained aerial vehicles it received the previous year.

Unexplained Flying Object Sightings in North America

What is happening in North America that has been visited by unexplained aerial vehicles? The New York Times reports that the Pentagon and intelligence officials are attempting to make sense of three unidentified aerial objects that were shot down with missiles by US fighter planes over Alaska, Canada, and Michigan in the past week.

The newest twist in the aerial spectacle above North America follows a whirlwind weekend that saw what appeared to be an invasion of unidentified flying objects.

The newest item was discovered over Montana on Saturday, February 11, generating early speculation about its existence. Military personnel noticed a radar blip above Montana on Saturday, which suddenly vanished, leading them to believe it was an anomaly.

Then, on Sunday, a blip emerged across Montana, followed by Wisconsin and Michigan. After receiving visual confirmation, military commanders ordered an F-16 to shoot it down over Lake Huron.

Authorities still do not know what those crafts are, but the US and Canada are now hypervigilant after the recent incursion by a Chinese spy balloon.
