Last weekend, a man from Connecticut shared a video of a gigantic black bear that broke into a car. In the said video, the bear appears to see no issue with where he was sitting.

More so, the authorities are also seen snapping pictures of the huge creature, as well as lighting a flashlight on its face, an Outdoor Life report said.

On a Facebook post in late April, Cody Gillotti wrote, "Lock your doors." He also said on his social media post that what was happening at that time was a "bit of an ordeal night."

The video was showing the giant black bear that seemed to be sitting in a vehicle's front passenger seat. It looked pretty relaxed inside the vehicle.

A giant black bear was reported to be breaking into vehicles in Connecticut.

Like a Teenage Kid

In a similar report, KWTX said, Gillotti was sitting inside his home when he noticed the lights turned on inside the car of his mother-in-law.

Gillotti called the police, and the Department of Energy and Environment protection responded. EnCon police said that there was extensive damage to the vehicle's interior. Furthermore, a conservation officer was able to oust the bear from the car after firing a bean bag around at it.

Meanwhile, the man said he knew something was inside the car but he just did not know what. He added it looked like a teenage kid that just passed out in the car after a long night of partying and was caught by his mom.

Describing the bears, Gillotti said, bears are not a new thing in the area, although he has never seen one getting inside of a vehicle.

Unusual Behavior

The bear was indeed, very scared when people got close to it. He continued, it was nearly like a deer in headlights, and it was shocked.

The huge creature also broke into the truck of Gillotti, although it did not spend too much time there. Nonetheless, there was an empty McDonald's bag in the truck which the black bear likely smelled.

After it moved things around inside Gillotti's truck, it relocated to his mother-in-law's car. Unfortunately, he said, the car is totally wrecked. "There is pretty much no interior left," he elaborated.

Earlier Incident

While this is a very unusual, if not the first, incident that a bear breaking into a vehicle, there had been reports of the same species wandering around, scaring people.

Two months ago, Newsweek reported about a black pare that approached a man who was napping by a pool in Massachusetts.

This terrifying moment was caught on a Ring camera. In the said footage captured by the surveillance camera, the black bear was seen wandering into a backyard with a pool, located in Greenfield. The man could be seen taking a nap on the sun lounger unaware of the presence of the bear.

The creature walked over to examine the pool and started to prowl and sniff at the water. The whole time, the man on the lounger remained unaware of his supposed intruder.

The bear could then be seen walking straight to the man who stayed napping, motionless. Also seen on the video footage, was a nail-biting moment wherein the bear was then using its paw to touch the foot of the man.

The next scene showed the man waking up, getting startled, after which, the bear got scared and ran away.
