Throughout the years, many speculations about the secretive state of health of Russia's President Vladimir Putin have surfaced. Despite the theories, there was no conclusive evidence that confirmed these claims.

This year, another guess about Putin's well-being appeared. According to reports, the president's health condition was allegedly disclosed by a Russian oligarch. Marca says that the details were relayed to the New Lines Magazine.

TOPSHOT - Russian President Vladimir Putin attends a conference as part of a summit called to attempt to find a lasting political solution to the civil war in Syria which has claimed in excess of 350 000 lives, at Vahdettin Mansion in Istanbul, on October 27, 2018. - The leaders of Turkey, Russia, France and Germany are set to meet in Istanbul to try to find a lasting political solution to the Syrian civil war and salvage a fragile ceasefire in a rebel-held northern province.

The individual's identity was kept due to his close ties with the Russian president. The evidence was described through a secret recording. Alongside the physical condition of Putin, the audio partly discussed the individual's complaints against the president's decision to invade its neighboring country Ukraine.

The secret recordings present the talks between Putin and the unidentified informant over Russia's recent raids. The oligarch also said that there was an exchange that required an explanation from the country's leader regarding the death of over 15,000 Russian soldiers.

The intriguing part of the leaked audio is what the unknown individual mentioned about Putin's current condition. The man, who was among the country's top 200 richest people, said that the president is currently battling blood cancer. However, the specific condition remains unknown.

Years after the silence of news about Putin's health, the update from this informant might be the biggest reveal yet.

The New Lines Magazine called the unnamed man 'Yuri' due to security reasons. Aside from this, there was no additional information the newspaper released about the identity of the oligarch.

The recordings presented the tiniest hints about who the man was. According to reports, Yuri was among the closest confidants of the president but was later released from his post and lost privileges exclusive to high-ranking officials.

The Times of London explained that speculations regarding the health of Putin resurfaced in recent months due to the president's unusual limp and puffy face. These symptoms are highly prevalent in people who are administered steroids. In a more recent event, the Russian leader was seen wearing a heavy wool blanket back at the Victory Day Parade.

Although the suspected blood cancer was not specified, there are two common types of the said illness.

Blood Cancer, What Is It?

If the leaks were apparently true, Vladimir Putin might be having either lymphoma or myeloma. Both of these cancers attack and weaken plasma cells circulating around the human body. Severe types of these diseases might also destroy the structure of bones.

Lymphoma, according to Mayo Clinic, is cancer that impacts the lymphatic system. This network functions to fight off germs and other invasive organisms from infiltrating the body. The lymphatic system includes organs such as the lymph glands, thymus gland, bone marrow, and even spleen. Lymphoma could cause a problem not just to the members of the lymphatic system, but also to other organs scattered all over the body.

Myeloma, commonly known as multiple myeloma, is cancer that directly influences plasma cells. These molecules are part of the immuno-protection of the human body. Similar to the functions of the lymphatic system, plasma cells guard the entire organs, but by producing antibodies that fight infections.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the plasma cells enlarge excessively during myeloma and disrupt other types of bone marrow cells responsible for creating platelets, red blood cells, and white blood cells.
