Despite the vast expanse of the Earth's oceans, which cover 71% of its surface, people's understanding of marine life remains limited as countless mysteries are waiting to be unraveled. Surprisingly, over 80% of the world's oceans remain unexplored, despite being the largest component of the biosphere.

Russian fisherman Roman Fedortsov has shocked the internet by sharing unsettling images of his recent catch from the northwest part of Russia on his Instagram. The pictures depict a sea creature with its organs protruding from its mouth, creating a stomach-churning sight.

Fisherman Shares Gut-Clenching Photos of Deep-Sea Creature

He speculates that the extreme change in pressure experienced when the fish is brought up from the deep waters might have caused its unusual appearance as if it had been turned inside out, MaillOnline reported. The specific species of fish is unidentified, but it possesses a lengthy body with stubby front flippers, resembling bottom-dwelling creatures.

One user expressed surprise at encountering the video during breakfast, while another jokingly complained about being tired of pasta. Curiosity arose regarding what was coming out of the creature's mouth, with someone questioning if it was another species' tongue.

The lack of knowledge about such phenomena was emphasized, and one person humorously claimed to have lost their appetite and no longer needed a diet.

Despite finding the content gross, some fans admitted they couldn't look away, and another person remarked on the fascinating occurrences in the animal world. The observation was made that the protruding parts from the creature's mouth were its organs.

Fedortsov's Instagram account showcases numerous deep-sea discoveries that resemble aliens more than fish. These unusual marine specimens were predominantly found in the Norwegian and Barents seas, with some washing ashore from the Atlantic Ocean.
