For such a long time, the Pentagon kept its knowledge of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) under wraps. However, this is evolving with the department unveiling videos on its UFO-dedicated website.
The brief clips depict unexplained aerial phenomena in various shapes and sizes, such as a sphere over Middle Eastern buildings, a milk bottle-like object over the US, and the renowned 2004 US Navy capture of the Tic Tac.

Pentagon: No Evidence of UFOs
A report examining reported UFO sightings over nearly a century released by the Pentagon on Friday, February 8, found no evidence of aliens or extraterrestrial intelligence.
The Defense Department's All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office analyzed U.S. government investigations since 1945 and concluded that there was no indication of alien life or a conspiracy to hide reverse-engineered extraterrestrial technology.
The study refuted claims, such as a former CIA official managing extraterrestrial technology, and declared a purported 1961 intelligence community document about UFOs' extraterrestrial nature as inauthentic. The report stated that most sightings were misidentifications of ordinary objects and phenomena, aligning with past efforts to assess UFO claims. Another report volume is expected later.

AARO Unveils Enigmatic UFO Footage
Despite the latest report from the Pentagon, the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), a specialized UFO division established in July 2022 under the Department of Defense, has released videos on its new website after previously revealing global UFO hotspots. Below are the most frequently reported physical UFO traits:
Flying Saucer
UFOs, often depicted as saucers, vary. A South Asian clip in January 2023 shows a classic saucer-like object swiftly moving. AARO suggests the object is likely a commercial aircraft, dismissing concerns of extraterrestrial activity.
Milk Bottle
The US Navy captured a UFO that resembles a 'milk bottle' or bowling pin and it was serenely tracked in a video. As it glides, its shape transforms into a saucer, and its silhouette changes from white to black. The clip's origin is unclear, surfacing on the internet around 2020 before being added to the AARO site.
Sphere #1
In July 2022, an MQ-9 UAV in the Middle East recorded a silver orb-like object flying close to the ground. The MQ-9's camera tracked the object, but AARO found it not exhibiting anomalous behavior, categorizing it as unidentified. This video represents many cases with limited data surrounding observations, according to the office.

In an undisclosed location in 2021, a Navy fighter jet's cockpit recorded a sphere-like UFO swiftly passing on the right during a calm flight through blue skies. AARO comments that the video showcases the typical speed at which military aircraft may encounter unknown objects.
Tic Tac
The iconic 'Tic Tac' UFO, resembling the breath mint, gained fame in 2004 when captured by US Navy pilots off the Southern California coast. Despite its high-speed maneuvers and lack of recognizable features, like flight control surfaces or propulsion, its nature remains unexplained, with similar sightings reported globally.
Fast Speck
In an undisclosed location, a mysterious clip shows a small white speck swiftly moving across choppy waters, filmed by a US Navy F/A-18 jet crew. As the system's trackers zoom in, the crew reacts with amazement. AARO noted that the object the term 'UFO' doesn't necessarily imply extraterrestrial origin, and so prefers 'unidentified anomalous phenomenon' to avoid associations with conspiracy theories and paranoia.
