Google has recently been more enthusiastic with its Android Nougat updates. The tech giant evolved Android 7.1.2 Nougat update earlier in this month. The company issued the first stack of this new update to the selected range of Nexus devices and its very own Pixel smartphones. But just days after the official release of the 7.1.2 Nougat update a number of users of Nexus and Pixel smartphones reported a disturbance which is disrupting their devices' fingerprint sensor to work properly.

According to Android Police, specifically users of Google's Pixel and Pixel XL alongside LG's Nexus 5X and Huawei manufactured Nexus 6P lodged the complaint about this issue on Google's product forum. Basically, whenever a user of any of these smartphone is installing the Android 7.1.2 Nougat update on his/her handset and after that trying to open up the device with the help of fingerprint sensor, he/she facing this issue where the smartphone is falling to recognize the earlier authentication made onto its panel.

As per a report by Gadget 360, after getting a massive number of reports about this problem, Google has acknowledged the trouble on its support forum and has also started a thread for gaining more insights about the issue from the users. The company has been also reported to enquire the users about whether they are experiencing this issue after installing Android 7.1.2 Nougat update manually or automatically. The inquiry has generated mass reactions, but these haven't been much of useful as the views provided by the users couldn't make out any particular reason.

This is the first time Android 7.1.2 Nougat has been evolved with such fingerprint scanner related issues. The rebooting or even fresh booting options haven't been helpful in this case, as users claimed that by doing these they couldn't get to any solution to the issue. Potential remedies from Google's end are still awaited.
