Microsoft recently unveiled a new set of Surface laptops that's primarily aimed at students who mostly use Apple's Macbook Air and Macbook Pro laptops for their educational needs. During the event, they also released a new Surface Arc Mouse, a successor to the Arc touch and comes at a price of $80. All new products from Microsoft will begin shipping in the month of June.

Reports from the PCWorld reveal the new Surface Laptop alongside the Surface Arc mouse will begin on Jun. 15. The new mouse from the Redmond giant also comes with a touchpad in the front. As usual, people will also be able to use both left and right mouse buttons while also making use of touch gestures on it. Microsoft has assured premium quality on all their Surface devices which will not change for their new peripheral.

Going more into the details about the Surface Arc mouse, people won't be able to distinguish the presence of two buttons since there's no gap in between. Microsoft claims their new product provides an optimized structural design with more rigidity in mind. As noted from Engadget, it's a new refinement of Microsoft's signature product lineup.

Due to travel issues, the new Surface Arc mouse can be flattened so that it can be carried around easily. It is a totally wireless mouse which connects to devices with the help of Bluetooth v4.0 and can functional up to its potential within a distance of 16.4 feet. Microsoft mentions that their new product works with the latest generation of Windows, anything above Windows 8. The device also takes two AAA batteries to power the mouse which the manufacturer expects to launch up to 9 months.

Microsoft's new Surface Laptops cost $999 and run the latest version of Windows 10 operating system that's specifically designed for students. With the Surface Arc mouse, the combination of both of them makes it a perfect choice for new buyers to carry around due to lesser weight on the laptop.
