Microsoft has recently introduced its company breakthrough in their last GDC presentation, the Xbox Live Creators Program. It was then reported that in the previous Build Conference in Seattle, the company has just announced that the Xbox Live Creators Program would introduce mouse and keyboard support.

According to Games Industry, ID@Xbox director Chris Charla explained the huge difference between ID@Xbox and the Xbox Live Creators Program is that the Xbox Live Creators Program is completely open with fast certification. Charla also added that the program has no approvals to ship and no NDAs.

Charla then mentioned that they have decided to make developers focus on their game instead of working on platform support issues with the Xbox Live Creators Program. He also said that they expect to see GDC developers that have started with the ID@Xbox program in the future through the Xbox Live Creators Program.

With that said, MS Power User reported that Andrew Parsons, Senior Program Manager for Game Developers at Microsoft shared that Xbox Live Creators Program will have the ability to enable all Windows features on Xbox One. Hence, full keyboard support would be available. Mouse support would be available at a later date but it was said that most mice won’t be compatible initially.

"This means their title can see exposure to every Xbox One owner across the Xbox One family of devices, including Project Scorpio this holiday, as well as hundreds of millions of Windows 10 PCs, and millions of folks using the Xbox app on mobile platforms," Microsoft said in a statement. It was also identified that support games included in the Xbox Live Creators Program include Construct 2, MonoGame, Unity, and Xenko.

The first instructions to gain access to the Xbox Live Creators program was said to create a Microsoft Account. The following instructions were said to enroll in the Dev Center developer program and sign-up the Preview for Xbox Live Creators Program to apply. The published games for Xbox One is said to be available on the Creator games section in the Xbox Store while on Windows 10 PC, the details would be seen on the Windows Store.
