Verizon Fios clients can finally stream all their favorite TV shows on their smartphones without worrying over using or going over their monthly data. Verizon reported on Thursday that it is presently giving data free streaming to its Fios Internet and TV subscribers.

Rather than streaming content from other services like YouTube or Netflix that eats up their data, Fios clients can now utilize Verizon's Fios Mobile App to stream both live and recorded shows. The application gives clients a chance to watch more than 140 stations or channels live when in a hurry, and in addition watch the titles they have saved on their DVR, and all movies and TV series that are On Demand. As per DigitalTrends

This implies Verizon clients can avoid from missing their favorite shows even when they aren't home in time, or stream movies while traveling or when killing time. The main catch is the Fios Internet and TV clients should also be Verizon mobile clients in order to have the access to stream for free.

The Fios Mobile App is basically Verizon's version of T-Mobile's binge- on program which permits clients to stream videos from Netflix, Hulu, Sling, Showtime, HBO, ESPN, and other services for free without it recorded in their monthly data.

The difference here is Verizon is bundling its data free streaming option in an application, and instead of steaming from different platforms, it's Fios TV, DVR titles and On Demand content accessible for viewing.

While clients aren't getting the option to stream Netflix data free, they can stream content from well known premium channels like: Cartoon Network, EPIX, CNN, NFL Network, NFL RedZone, beIN Sport (in English and Spanish), BBC America, Nickelodeon, TNT, Tennis Channel, HBO, TBS, Comedy Central, Bravo, SyFy, HGTV, Food Network, Cooking Channel and numerous others like NBC, FOX and Univision.

The launch of this application increases the value of Verizon's home and wireless plans, permitting clients to get more value for their money if they are faithful to the company and have a combination of its Internet or TV and mobile plans.

Also, to invite more clients to be group Verizon, the company is offering up to $500 back for clients who join or sign up from both Verizon Fios and Verizon Unlimited (the carrier's lately launched wireless plan) for a limited time only, Slashgear cited.

Data free unlimited streaming is currently accessible to in latest version of the Fios Mobile application, which is accessible for iOS and Android. This news comes days after Verizon declared a prepaid option for Fios Internet, TV and telephone packs.
