An eclipse is an astronomical event that occurs when an astronomical object is temporarily obscured by another passing astronomical object. Total solar eclipse is also a similar event when Moon passes between the earth and the sun and creates blockage over the sun. According to Space, the radius of this total solar eclipse widely covered an area of land about 70 miles or 113 kilometers. However, the area fall under this event is called Path of totality and which includes the wide areas from Oregon to South Carolina. People descend upon this area will get an unforgettable experience of the total solar eclipse.

This total solar eclipse passes through Idaho, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. However, the people belong to the region outside the Path of totality will able to see the partial solar eclipse. In this event, people experienced like the moon appears to take a bite out of the sun's disk. Basically, two to five normal solar eclipses occur once a year but total solar eclipse occurs once every 18 months or so.

Here one question may arise that when and where the total solar eclipse should become visible. Primarily, both duration and timing will depend on location with respect to the region of Path of totality. All the time lists will available at NASA site that provided below. 

For Madras, the total solar eclipse will begin from 9:06 a.m. and totality will begin from10:19 a.m. and will end at 10:21 a.m. while the eclipse will end at 11:41 a.m. PDT. Similarly, for Idaho Falls total solar eclipse will start from 10:15 a.m. and totality will begin from 11:33 a.m. and end at 11:34 a.m. while eclipse will end at 12:58 p.m. MDT. For Casper, WY total solar eclipse will start from 10:22 a.m. when totality began at 11:42 a.m. with end time at11:45 a.m. while eclipse will end at 01:09 p.m. MDT.
