Users of the smartphone Nextbit Robin now can avail the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat update. Last year this mid-range handset gained popularity among the tech users.

Nextbit Robin was first launched with the Android Marshmallow in 2015. Later the company was able to release another important update in March 2017, and it was the Android 7.0 Nougat. Currently, the factory image of the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat update is also available for the smartphone, according to XDA Developers.

Nextbit Robin is considered as one of the best mid-range phones with its unique features. The software update history of this handset is somewhat very interesting. In November 2016 the handset received the beta version of the Nougat, though in January 2017 Razer Inc. acquired this smartphone company. The company now releases the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for the phone.

This acquisition halted the Nextbit Robin's production, but the company promised that it would not end the support for the device. In order to keep the promise, Razer Inc. released the official Nougat update for the Nextbit Robin in March. This update was actually based on the Android 7.0. Now the factory image of the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update is visible on the Razer forum. Razer Inc. will continue to provide the software updates and the security updates for the handset through February 2018.

GSMArena revealed that Nextbit Robin features 5.2-inch IPS display with the 1080 pixel resolution. The device sports 3GB of RAM and the Snapdragon 808 SoC, even the smartphone is equipped with a battery of 2680 mAh. The key feature that helps the handset to hit the market is its approach to the cloud storage. The latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat update will increase the efficiency of this smartphone.

Now the installation process of the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for the Nextbit Robin is quite easy. It is similar to the procedure used for the Nexus or the Pixel handsets. A fastboot setup is necessary to update this handset.
