The first meteor shower of spring, known as the Lyrid meteor shower, will display a skywatching night show starting on Sunday evening and peaking on Wednesday night.

There hasn't been a meteor shower to light up the sky this year since early January, and this one will be apparent across the globe. Contrary to the meteor shower in 2019, the abating moon will allow a better view of these bright meteors.

Don't miss the opportunity to catch this spectacle of meteoroids and comets zooming through the sky. If you haven't got a telescope yet, consider getting one now. With the coronavirus situation getting a hold of the economy, and possibly your wallets and bank accounts, no need to splurge on your telescope. Here are some budget-friendly ones that will surely bring you the same satisfaction of using an expensive one.

Gskyer Telescope AZ70400

The Gskyer Telescope is the balance between affordable and high-performance when looking at telescopes. This would make an excellent choice for astronomy beginners and penny-savers alike.

Its visual resolution and optical capabilities are top ranks for its low-end affordable price. It's a cost-effective telescope with bright image quality and high magnification power. The Gskyer telescope is also easy to use as its assembly can be done by almost anybody. It's also compact and portable, great for camping out.

The telescope holds a 70-millimeter aperture and 400-millimeter focal length, which results in precise and high-resolution images. Its 3x Barlow lens, 25 mm, 10 mm eyepiece and finderscope all offer varying levels of magnification.

Another great feature is its smartphone adapter and wireless remote, which allows you to see the sky right on your phone and record its beauty. It's perfect for sharing what you've captured on social media.

The refractor telescope was designed to provide views of the moon's craters, Saturn's rings, and Jupiter's major moons. Just imagine the breathtaking image it would display of the meteor shower.

It is equipped with a 3X Barlow lens and two eyepieces, H20mm and H6mm. The installation of the telescope is straightforward, which makes it suitable for kids as well. Similar to the Gskyer telescope, this telescope's set includes one smartphone adapter and one Wireless camera remote. Snapping pictures and taking videos will be perfect with this telescope.
