The national space agency said China's Tianwen-1 probe sent back its first view of Mars. Rival US and United Arab Emirates missions are strongly trailing its tail.

Mars will be at the forefront of an incredible confluence of unparalleled interplanetary missions in the history of spacefaring.

As the US, China, and the developing UAE space program take advantage of a window through which the Red Planet is near Earth, probes sent by three countries will arrive within days of each other.

Geological structures, including the Schiaparelli crater and the Valles Marineris, a large stretch of canyons on the Martian floor, were seen in the black-and-white picture published late Friday the China National Space Administration.

CNSA claimed, per ABC News, that the satellite was already 1.1 million kilometers from the Eart. The photo was taken some 2.2 million kilometers (1.4 million miles) away from Mars.

The robotic craft sparked one of its engines on Friday to create an orbital adjustment and was supposed to slow down about February 10 before being "captured by Martian gravity," the organization added.

Tianwen-1, according to The Conversation, will join the UAE's Hope flight, which will be the first of the three to arrive on Feb 9 in Martian orbit, and then replaced a week later by NASA's huge, car-sized Perseverance lander.

Approximately every 26 months, as its orbit meets up with Earth, the ability to hit Mars arises and all three missions took advantage by launching in July.

The UAE and China would become the fifth and sixth space programs to hit the closest neighbor to Earth.

They are followed by European Space Agency, NASA, and the Soviet Union.

Billions of bucks

China has pumped billions of dollars into its military-led space program since seeing the United States and the Soviet Union lead the way through the Cold War.

In the last decade, it has taken significant strides, bringing a person into orbit in 2003.

The Asian superpower has paved the foundation for assembling a space station and establishing a permanent orbit position by 2022.

But Mars has so far proven to be a daunting goal, with most missions sent to the planet by the United States, Russia, Europe, Japan, and India after 1960 resulting in disappointment.

Tianwen-1 is not the first effort by China to reach Mars.

As the launch crashed, a primary mission to Russia in 2011 ended prematurely.

China has also sent two rovers to the Surface. With the second, China became the first nation on the far side to make a safe soft landing.

All the devices are in reasonable shape for the Tianwen-1 investigation, CNSA said Friday.

Mars Probe: China vs. UAE vs. the USA

According to Israel Hayom, UAE's Hope project can cross 75,185mph and then shoot its thrusters for 30 minutes, slowing down to 11,184mph and heading into Martian orbit.

Two years will be spent circling the Earth and observing the atmosphere.

Meanwhile, Tianwen will start planning to land a 500lb solar-powered rover on the planet until the probe goes into space, scheduled to happen in May.

Tianwen can search for water-ice and build maps, which implies "questions to heaven."

On the other hand, Perseverance is the first machine sent by NASA to settle on Mars since 2018.

In the potentially treacherous Jezero crater, which is packed with boulders, it will touch down.

The crater was selected because it was host to a river delta three billion years ago, and Perseverance is searching for evidence of ancient existence.
