SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said the "OG" or original COVID-19 virus is long gone.

Today's coronavirus variants, according to the Tesla CEO, are not anything like the COVID-19 that first appeared in 2020.

It's notable for the perils that afflicted a virus's environment and making it impossible to connect socially.

Elon Musk: OG COVID-19 Ended Long Ago

Elon Musk remarked in a tweet that the "OG COVID-19" outbreak stopped a long time ago, and the virus we're dealing with now is nothing like or close to the 2020 SARS-CoV2.

Although these words come from a billionaire, it is essential to take them with a grain of salt. That's because the opinionated statement does not necessarily reflect the views of experts or health organizations.

The World Health Organization (WHO) considers the coronavirus strains from Delta to Omicron, including the most recent Omicron BA.2, under the 2020 coronavirus.

According to scientists and health experts, these variations and any future ones are derived from the SARS-CoV2 gene.

The WHO data also implies that COVID should not be taken lightly, particularly now that vaccinations and boosters are widely accessible.

With these events, the eccentric CEO, who is known for his online comedic takes, creates a meme about how COVID-19 protection does not always protect people.

The graphic often uses the root word "protect," and it is intended to be a satirical take on the purportedly ineffective COVID-19 protection.

History of Elon Musk vs. COVID-19 Vaccine

Elon Musk told Kara Swisher, the host of New York Times Opinion's "Sway" podcast, in September 2020 that he would not take the COVID-19 vaccination when it became available. Musk stated that neither he nor his children are at risk for COVID. He also recommends that anyone at risk of contracting the virus isolate themselves until "the storm passes."

When Swisher told Elon Musk that there's a chance people would die in the process, he said (per Outsider): "Everybody dies. The question is what, on balance, serves the greater good."

The lockdowns, according to Musk, were ineffective. He considers the pandemic to be a "no-win" situation as well. Musk criticized stay-at-home policies in April 2020.

He referred to the strategy as fascist. He also stated that the measures infringe on people's freedoms in heinous and unjust ways.

Musk shared an edited cartoon depicting Bill Gates as the mastermind behind the pandemic and vaccine rollout. Business Insider said Elon Musk quickly deleted the tweet.

For this week, Tesla CEO Elon Musk continued to be fascinated by and supportive of Canadians who assembled in Ottawa to oppose vaccination requirements.

Musk initially hailed trucks en route to the country's capital, Automotive News Canada said. They reject a government vaccination mandate that forces them to get immunized before returning to Canada following a trip to the United States, which has comparable rules.

However, Elon Musk claims that he and his family received the COVID-19 vaccine, despite his previous and apparently current stance.

In an interview with Time, Elon Musk stated unequivocally that science is conclusive. It is why he and his eligible children get vaccinated against the virus. Vaccine mandates, on the other hand, he continues to oppose.
