Have you ever wondered what you'll be doing two years from now or what the weather and celestial event will be like on April 8, 2024? That question also runs on millions of people's thoughts, building up to a dramatic total solar eclipse during the next two years.

That's because on that day, depending on your location, Moon will obscure Sun for approximately 4 minutes and 28 seconds.

Forbes said the size is nearly double the totality seen during the previous "Great American Eclipse" on August 21, 2017, which traveled largely across sparsely populated areas.

Therefore, you might want to perhaps take a day or two off work and travel to one of the 13 states in the United States-or to Canada or Mexico-to experience the largest complete solar eclipse most Americans will ever see.

TORONTO, ON - JUNE 10: The sun rises behind the skyline during an annular eclipse on June 10, 2021 in Toronto, Canada. Across parts of Canada, viewers witnessed the rare sighting of a so-called "ring of fire" solar eclipse - a thin outer ring of the sun's disk that is not completely covered by the smaller dark disk of the moon.

Solar Eclipse of April 8, 2024: Next Celestial Event To Happen In 2045

The only chance to watch a total solar eclipse from the contiguous United States until 2045 will be on April 8, 2024, making it one of the decade's must-see astronomical events.

"The opportunity to see an eclipse without traveling internationally should not be missed," expert eclipse photographer Gordon Telepun told AccuWeather (via AOL). "It's two years before the eclipse, but it is not too early to begin making plans."

The eclipse in 2024, is a follow-up to the 2017 Great American Eclipse, which enthralled millions of people from Oregon to South Carolina. Experts predict that the eclipse in 2024, will be even more spectacular than the last one.

This celestial event will be pretty easy for many more Americans. Because, in addition to being larger in scope, the events of April 8, 2024, are also expected to be significantly more widespread.

In reality, an eclipse specialist estimates that 31,625,000 individuals in the United States presently live within the complete solar eclipse's path.

Where and How to See Celestial Event 2 Years From Now

According to UPI, the total solar eclipse of April 8, 2024, is expected to cover the continent from southwest to northeast. It starts on Mexico's Pacific coast and travels through Texas, 13 US states, and eastern Canada.

Texas cities of Dallas and Austin, Indianapolis, Indiana Little Rock, Arkansas Dayton, and Cleveland, Ohio. The totality path of this celestial event passes via Buffalo, New York, Burlington, Vermont, and Montreal, Quebec.

Many significant cities, including San Antonio, Texas, St. Louis, Chicago, Cincinnati, Detroit, and Pittsburgh, are within a short drive from the trail.

For part of the route across the United States, totality will endure more than four minutes, roughly doubling the duration of the 2017 eclipse, which lasted just over two minutes in many viewing spots.

Although it is too early to establish an exact weather forecast, the time of year in which the 2024 eclipse occurs may pose an issue for certain observers.
